Chrysolite Information

The chrysolite name is unique because it is the name that was used for several gems in ancient biblical times. The name chrysolite means gold stone. The origin of chrysolite is a confusing one. Most of the Chrysolite in modern times was taken out of old jewelry, therefore it is probable that old locations are either forgotten or wiped out. The mineral is known to be a large part of some meteorites, and the crystals found on some of these meteorites are massive enough to be considered valuable gems. Chrysolite is the only gem that comes from a place that we know very little about. Most of the chrysolite from the old days were actually topaz.
