Located on the shores of the Mediterranean, Barcelona is Spains second largest city and capital of the Catalonia autonomous region of Spain. The hill at the far right is Montjuic, where most of the Olympic events of the 1992 games were held. At the base of the hill is the brown Palau Nacional with the Montjuic Castle on top of the hill. The Olympic stadium is directly behind Palau Nacional. Left of center in the distance is the famous Temple de la Sagrada Familia, Gaudis most ambitious and grandest architectural masterpiece and a symbol of the city itself.
